About the course
Accounting is one of the functions AI has changed fastest, and one where the difference between a good implementation and a poor one shows up immediately in the quality of the numbers.
Automating the wrong step adds review time instead of saving it. Knowing which parts of the cycle to hand to software, and which to keep under human judgment, is the whole skill.
This is a hands-on program built around systems already in production. You will automate a real workflow end to end, from receipt capture and transaction categorisation through to reconciliation, connect the accounting system to payroll, billing and the bank so data stops being entered twice, and use AI for forecasting, trend identification and anomaly detection. You will also design the review layer that sits over all of it, because audit trail, data quality and privacy still matter when the work is machine-generated.
Taught by our accounting firm using the tools it runs on portfolio books, so nothing on the syllabus is a demonstration. It is built for accountants, bookkeepers and finance leads responsible for a monthly close.
